I’ve been hunting for a perfect little shoulder bag since the start of summer and here I am with not many summer days left and still unable to decide, but at least I’ve narrowed it down to 2.
Exhibit A – Louis Vuitton Monceau BB in epi leather in fuschia. Ever since I saw that LV mini film starring Elin, Miroslava and Hanneli, I’ve been obsessed with the Louis Vuitton’s range of candy coloured mini bags and obsessed is describing my condition lightly. The Monceau in epi is so almighty fine and I just love the fuschia, perhaps it’s the girly girl in me trying to stage a come back. For a weekend bag, the price tag is a steep $1600+ here in Australia, so it’s no small investment for a small bag. As my pre-hubby would say though, “Always go for the most expensive thing you can afford”.
Exhibit B – Alexander Wang Pelican clutch in black. Believe it or not, I don’t own a single Alexander Wang item yet. We need to remedy this situation STAT, I know! The longer slim shape is so unique, so much edgier compared to the Monceau and so Alexander. The city girl in me is screaming for this one, with a much more reasonable price tag of $750, it means if I do end up buying this bag, I’d treat myself to something else too, maybe something that comes in a little orange box.
So hence ladies and gentlemen, here is my dilemma. A big one, a major one, one that needs thorough discussion. Which do you think I should go for?
